Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

If you've been in talk therapy for years and are feeling stuck, or still having difficulty in your life & relationships, EMDR can be a powerful tool to help you finally break through old patterns of behaving, thinking and being in the world. PTSD/ C-PTSD/ anxiety/depression do not have to be a life sentence, you can heal completely: mind, body and spirit. Certification in EMDR matters! It assures you that I've gone well beyond the initial 50 hours of basic training: I've completed additional training & consultation hours, and continuously engage in education & practice each year in order to provide you with the safest & most effective EMDR therapy. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about whether EMDR therapy is right for you.

About Me

My clients would say that I'm not a therapist who just nods her head & says "uh huh." Appropriate honest and direct feedback, a different perspective, or a kind word given at the right moment can be powerful, and can help you become aware of things that may be keeping you stuck. I also recognize the power of just sitting together in silence when necessary.

Approach

Trauma recovery, EMDR therapy, couples counseling for all orientations (polyamorous and alternative lifestyles welcomed, in addition to traditional couples), depression, anxiety, postpartum adjustment and depression, parenting, neurodivergent & neurodiverse couples counseling, family conflicts (with expertise in helping you navigate choices around low contact and no contact), healing after narcissistic abuse, spirituality & existential crises.

Basic Information

Services

I believe in the innate power of humans to heal & grow. You don't have to live with the pain of old experiences weighing you down or keeping you stuck; healing is possible & within reach. Are you struggling in relationships or at work? Are you trying to be the person, parent, or partner you want to be, but missing the mark? Do you want to finally learn to accept (& love) yourself fully & unconditionally, & allow others to love you as well? Counseling can help you find freedom & clarity and let go of what's holding you back. I'm certified in EMDR Therapy & offer this modality for healing in addition to traditional talk therapy. I also work with (neurotypical and neurodiverse) couples on a wide range of issues that get in the way of having the loving connection you desire.
