Mr Daniel Schurr, MSc

Clinical Psychologist

Living abroad can quietly strain even stable relationships and a solid sense of self. Many expats feel emotionally overwhelmed, isolated, or unsure about important life decisions — especially when friends and family are out of reach. I offer psychological counselling for expats, digital nomads and emigrants who are experiencing relationship difficulties, identity crises or emotional distress related to life abroad. My work provides a structured, confidential space to reflect, regain clarity and develop more supportive ways of dealing with current challenges. Notice: My legal title is "clinical psychologist," however, the meaning may differ in your country. I provide a reliable and supportive professional relationship in times when everything else may feel uncertain or in flux. Not unsupervised clinical psychotherapy.

About Me

I am a clinical psychologist working online with people who live and work outside their country of origin. Having lived and worked abroad myself, I am familiar with both the freedom and the emotional vulnerability that come with an international lifestyle. Clients often describe our work as calm, reflective and grounded. I value taking time to understand your personal context rather than rushing to solutions. Many people I work with are navigating complex relationship dynamics, emotional exhaustion or situations in which their previous life plans no longer feel as stable as they once did.

Approach

My approach is psychologically grounded, collaborative and tailored to your individual situation. I integrate cognitive-behavioural principles with a strong focus on emotional awareness, meaning-making and relationship dynamics. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we explore how your current challenges relate to your life circumstances, relationships and inner expectations — particularly in the context of living abroad. I see counselling as a shared process that helps you better understand yourself, reduce inner pressure and develop perspectives that feel realistic and sustainable for your situation. Sessions take place online and are structured, confidential and adapted to your pace and needs.
