Daina McAdams

Licensed Professional Counselor

An experienced, compassionate LPC focusing on anxiety, depression, stress management, adjustments to life changes. I very much like a positive and person-centered approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness.

About Me

When anxiety, depression, or life's big changes feel overwhelming, finding a supportive space can truly help. I offer a warm, person-centred approach, guiding you to gently explore these challenges. We’ll work together to understand your unique experience, using practical tools like cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness. This helps you develop effective coping strategies and navigate transitions with greater clarity and resilience.

Approach

To help you move through overwhelm, sessions follow a steady, collaborative rhythm: we check what feels most pressing, try brief mindfulness practices during the hour, and outline small, doable experiments to try between meetings. I meet adults in Dearborn and offer remote sessions in English, keeping pacing flexible to fit work and family rhythms. My style combines clear, practical thinking with gentle attention to how change actually feels in day-to-day life. This way often fits people facing transitions, anxiety, or low mood.
