Mrs Clare Whitworth

Psychotherapist

BACP registered, psychotherapist and counsellor. Kink friendly. Experienced with child abuse and HIV counselling, and creative counselling.

About Me

I offer integrative psychotherapy, providing a truly accepting space for all individuals. This includes clients who identify as kink. I help people explore challenging experiences, such as the impact of child abuse or HIV. We can use creative Counseling to voice feelings that are hard to put into words. My flexible approach ensures we find the best way for you to make sense of your unique journey and move forward.

Approach

Sessions move at your pace, using talk alongside art, writing or movement to help name and settle feelings that feel too big to hold alone. I offer appointments in Hebden Bridge and online, in English, and we’ll agree a rhythm between focused sessions and practical steps you can try between meetings. For people affected by childhood abuse, HIV or complex mood and family issues I use gentle tracking of patterns, grounding and paced reflection so memories and daily life become clearer and more manageable. This way of working suits people who want thoughtful, steady change.
