Claire

Ms Claire Jaynes, MA

Counseling Psychologist

An experienced therapist who works from an intersectional feminist stance, acknowledging the role of race, gender, sexuality, and neurodiversity among other factors.

About Me

I offer a space where we explore how your unique experiences are shaped. We acknowledge the profound impact of race, gender, sexuality, and neurodiversity on your well-being. As an experienced Counseling psychologist, I work from an intersectional feminist stance. This approach helps us unpack complex layers. Clients seeking to sensitively address these influences will find a truly collaborative space.

Approach

Holding an intersectional lens, I attend to how identities and systemic forces shape your feelings, choices and relationships, then gently map patterns into practical steps. Sessions in Pretoria or online, in English, move at a paced, collaborative tempo — we name triggers, practise grounding and experiment with new relational habits between sessions. Trauma-informed attention and mindful skills guide the work so safety and curiosity sit together. People navigating identity, intimacy or transition often find this focused, context-aware way of working helpful.
