Ms Claire Beattie

Licensed Educational Psychologist

An experienced and compassionate psychologist who supports individuals to draw on their strengths to manage challenges and thrive. Provides therapy for children, adolescents and parents to support their mental and emotional wellbeing and overall development.

About Me

I help children, adolescents, and parents navigate life's challenges. My compassionate approach focuses on discovering and building upon your inherent strengths, fostering mental and emotional wellbeing. In our sessions, we'll work together to understand feelings and develop practical tools for growth. This collaborative process helps young people thrive. Parents also find support, gaining confidence to guide their children towards positive change.

Approach

I help you notice small strengths and practise manageable changes so everyday challenges become less overwhelming. In my Cape Town practice, in English, sessions feel practical and paced to your needs — with quieter, playful ways for younger children and clearer, goal-focused steps for adolescents and parents. Between meetings I encourage short, doable experiments to try at home, then we review what worked and adapt together. This way suits families and young people looking for steady, confidence-building progress.
