Mr Christopher Corey, MA

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Individual work is core to my practice. I work with adults, adolescents and families. Together we can explore whatever you feel to be disturbing your experience of life, particularly depression, anxiety, grief, loneliness, spiritual and creative blocks, illness, childhood abuse, trauma, or issues related to sexuality.

About Me

I offer individual therapy, a core part of my practice. Together, we can gently navigate whatever is disturbing your life experience. Perhaps you are facing depression, anxiety, grief, or past trauma. My aim is to create a space for deep exploration. We can also address loneliness, creative blocks, illness, or issues related to sexuality. This collaborative approach helps adults, adolescents, and families understand their unique challenges and find clarity.

Approach

In sessions I follow your lead while offering focused ways to notice patterns in mood, relationships, shame and spiritual questions. Meetings in my San Francisco office or online are conversational and paced to what you can hold, often mixing talk with simple practices and reflective exercises to try between visits. I attend to safety, creativity and body sense so painful memories or blocks can be met without becoming overwhelming. People seeking clarity around loss, identity, desire or connection often find this steady, collaborative pace helpful.

Basic Information

Services

I work with people who are looking for meaning and direction in their lives. We work to remove blockages preventing you from having a full experience of life. I work primarily from a Gestalt / Existential / Humanist perspective. I've also been a ketamine assisted psychotherapist for several years, and would be happy to discuss whether that might be a helpful adjust to healing for you.
