Ms Cathy Mollink, MA

Counseling Psychologist

verified by TherapyRoute

I provide a safe and compassionate space for my clients to develop a deeper understanding of their internal worlds and how this affects their relationships and the way in which they engage with their environments. I hope to empower them with self-knowledge, enabling them to deal with current life crises or psychiatric illnesses, heal from past traumas and engage in all aspects of their lives in more meaningful ways.,

About Me

I am a registered Counselling Psychologist working in Bryanston, Gauteng. I completed my Masters degree in Community Based Counselling Psychology in 2008, through Wits University. My internship training was at the Rahima Moosa and Helen Joseph Hospitals, as well as the Wits Counselling and Careers Development Unit. This training provided me with opportunities to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and in my practice I welcome all people regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or neurotype.

Approach

My training was integrative, meaning that I was exposed to a wide range of psychotherapeutic methods and models. In my practice I I am able to adapt my approach to best suit the needs of my clients. Therapy can be a short or long term process. The initial stage of therapy with me involves assessing my clients' needs. Depending on time and funding available to them, I develop a treatment plan in a collaborative way to help them achieve their therapeutic goals.
