Dr Catherine (Cathy) Geils

Clinical Psychologist

An experienced therapist who works holistically, including body, mind, heart and spirit, to enable full expression of the true self.

About Me

I believe true well-being emerges when we integrate all parts of ourselves. As an experienced clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, I work holistically with your body, mind, heart, soul and spirit. Through experiential healing processes we explore these dimensions together to release trauma, differentiate boundaries and resolve dissociations. This process helps you uncover and express your authentic self within the interconnected and creative flow of Life. My approach is for those ready to embrace their whole being, finding genuine clarity and a fuller self.

Approach

Gentle curiosity guides how we explore sensations, stories and beliefs so your whole self can be known and allowed to change. In Durban I work in English, pacing sessions to your rhythms and offering reflective practices between meetings that anchor what you discover in everyday life. We attend to grief, chronic illness and mood through careful listening, exploration of meaning, body-attunement and focused techniques that help shift stuck patterns and recover inner resources. This way of working tends to suit adults seeking deeper integration after loss or illness.
