Ms Caroline Gichia

CBT Psychotherapist

A competent, compassionate trauma-informed therapist working with individuals and groups in the areas of adjustment to major life events such as chronic illness and bereavement. I am passionate about suicide prevention and early detection of mental health issues and personal growth past the adjustment phase.

About Me

As a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist, I support individuals and groups navigating major life events. When facing chronic illness or bereavement, finding balance is key. I am passionate about helping you move through this adjustment phase. We can explore early detection of mental health issues together. My aim is to foster your personal growth, helping you build resilience and lasting well-being beyond these challenges.

Approach

When life shifts after illness or loss, I help you translate overwhelming feelings into small, manageable steps that restore a sense of steadiness. In Nairobi I offer sessions in English and Kiswahili and also work online so therapy fits your routines and energy. In-session we map patterns, practice coping strategies, attend to safety, and set brief between-session tasks that respect concentration and fatigue. People coping with grief, anxiety or health transitions often find this paced, practical approach grounding and doable.
