Careena

Ms Careena Cook, M.Couns

Psychotherapist (Registered)

I dedicate myself to meeting people where they are. I believe that we are all experts in our own lives and therapy is an amazing way to help us raise awareness of ourselves and our world when things become difficult, feel chaotic or constrictive, when we feel trapped, helpless or stuck, or when something hits us out of nowhere. I really love my work and never take it for granted.

About Me

I am a Masters Qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist with over 25 years experience in mental health. I provide a safe, welcoming, down to earth, reliable and confidential therapy space and knowledgeable of many different therapeutic modalities to suit your needs. I am skilled and experienced in both short and longer term work.

Approach

You’ll find sessions are steady and warm, shaped by practical curiosity and gentle challenge to help you notice what matters most. I work face-to-face in Bondi Junction and online in English, keeping pace with your comfort while offering short reflections, simple experiments and focused listening between meetings. Our time together is collaborative and paced to suit your life—sometimes quiet reflection, sometimes targeted problem-solving—so you leave with clearer choices and small steps you can try. This tends to suit adults wanting thoughtful, down-to-earth support.
