Ms Candice Gillespie

Registered Counselor

I offer a range of theraputic interventions including individual therapy, couples therapy, play therapy, remedial and DBT.

About Me

As a Registered Counsellor, I offer tailored support for diverse needs. Perhaps you seek individual clarity, want to strengthen a relationship, or need to help a child express big feelings. I provide a range of interventions, including play therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). My approach helps address challenges like emotional regulation or learning difficulties. I aim to create a space where you feel understood and can find practical ways forward.

Approach

Therapy combines playful exploration with skills-based tools, moving between child-friendly activities and structured DBT-informed practice to suit the moment. I offer sessions from Cape Town and online, in English or Afrikaans, in a calm, private space that fits adolescents, parents and couples. We set small, practical goals together, practise simple strategies in session, and use short between-session tasks or family check-ins to track progress — especially helpful for attention differences, mood shifts or life transitions.
