Mr Brendan OShaughnessy

Registered Counselor

My name is Brendan O'Shaughnessy and I am here to listen to you. I have nearly 30 years’ experience of working with couples,

About Me

With nearly 30 years of experience, I offer a dedicated space for couples to be truly heard. Many couples find it hard to communicate openly, and I am here to help you navigate these challenges. I create a calm, balanced environment where both partners can explore feelings and find shared understanding. We can work together to strengthen your connection and build a more resilient future.

Approach

Being present with both of you, I listen for the small, often overlooked moments that shift a relationship and name them plainly. In my Cork room we move at a calm, steady pace—each partner gets space to speak, I reflect what I hear, and we leave time to try tiny changes between sessions in everyday life. Work focuses on practical communication shifts, clarifying patterns from past hurts, and building safer ways to disagree. Couples and parents wanting clear, hands-on support tend to find this approach helpful.
