Ms Bhavishya Arun Kalyanpur

Registered Clinical Psychologists

I am a Clinical Psychologist who works with individuals with mental health experiences across life-span. While my training has been in traditional clinical psychology, my approach to psychotherapy borrows from feminist, and narrative practices. My experience has been in youth mental health and queer-affirmative work.

About Me

I provide a welcoming, affirmative space for individuals seeking mental health support. My approach blends traditional clinical psychology with feminist and narrative practices, helping clients explore their unique stories. I particularly welcome young people and those within the queer community, offering a supportive environment to challenge existing narratives and build resilience. My aim is to empower you to find your own path forward.

Approach

Sessions often begin by gently mapping the stories you carry and the power dynamics that shape them, then we choose small, practical steps together. In Chennai and online, in English or Hindi/Urdu, pacing is collaborative: some weeks we focus on skills practice, other weeks on untangling a single experience. Between sessions I may suggest brief experiments or reflection prompts to test new ways of relating to anxiety, attention or mood, always centring your choices. This tends to suit adolescents and adults exploring identity and relationships.
