Ms Becky Makous

Psychologist

I am a counseling psychologist, specialized in sex therapy and couples counseling. I help my clients emotionally reconnect, overcome sexual shame, navigate conflict, and have a greater sense of empowerment and connections in their lives and relationships. I am specialized in queer, polyamorous, and expat communities.

About Me

I work with individuals and couples to emotionally reconnect, navigate conflict, and overcome sexual shame. My focus is on helping you find a greater sense of empowerment and deeper connections in your life and relationships. I create a supportive, non-judgmental space where all parts of you are welcome. This approach is particularly suited for individuals and partners within queer, polyamorous, and expat communities.

Approach

I help you notice small changes in desire, safety, and connection, then turn those observations into gentle experiments that reshape how you relate to yourself and others. Based in The Hague, I offer English-language sessions both in person and online, so work can continue across time zones and between meetings. Sessions mix focused conversation, somatic checking-in, and practical communication exercises you can try between sessions; we track what shifts and adjust collaboratively. This approach tends to suit people navigating complex relationships, identity, or relocation.
