Mr Austin Smith

Clinical Psychologist

A psychodynamic psychotherapist and Jungian analyst working with adults.

About Me

I offer adults a thoughtful, confidential space to explore their inner world. Drawing on psychodynamic and Jungian approaches, I help you understand long-standing patterns that shape your present experience. Our work is collaborative and reflective, aimed at uncovering unconscious dynamics in service to deeper self-awareness. This approach is well suited to those seeking more than symptom relief - those interested in getting to know and integrating all parts of themselves for meaningful, lasting change

Approach

In my practice, I encourage an attitude of curiosity toward oneself, attending closely to experiences, images, and their associated feelings as they emerge within a session. I listen not only to what is spoken about in the moment being shared, but also to what these stories may be expressing about underlying dynamics and recurring relational patterns. My approach is reflective and containing; I encourage the seeking of new ways of relating - both internally and with others - while supporting the noticing, naming, and gradual integration of feelings into a more coherent personal story.
