Mr Austin Smith, MA

Clinical Psychologist

A psychodynamic psychotherapist and Jungian analyst working with adults.

About Me

I offer adults a thoughtful, confidential space to explore their inner world. Drawing on psychodynamic and Jungian approaches, I help you understand long-standing patterns that shape your present experience. Our work is collaborative and reflective, aimed at uncovering unconscious dynamics in service to deeper self-awareness. This approach is well suited to those seeking more than symptom relief - those interested in getting to know and integrating all parts of themselves for meaningful, lasting change

Approach

I encourage an attitude of curiosity toward oneself, with attention to the feelings, memories, and images evoked by our experiences. This involves listening not only to what is spoken in the moment, but also to what these stories may reveal about underlying dynamics and recurring relational patterns. My approach is reflective and containing, where I encourage the seeking of new ways of relating. By creating a deeper understanding of oneself, a better relationship becomes possible with others.
