Ashley Greensmyth

Registered Counselor

As an empathic, holistic-minded therapist, I help clients navigate anxiety, stress, low mood, personality, attachment and relationship issues. I combine Adlerian therapy, CBT, mindfulness, EMDR and bits of other styles tailored to each client. I also use the Gottman Method and attachment therapy with couples.

About Me

As an empathic, holistic-minded therapist, I help clients navigate anxiety, stress, and low mood. I also support individuals with personality and attachment issues, and couples facing relationship challenges. I integrate approaches like EMDR and mindfulness, tailoring them to your unique needs. This creates a compassionate space for you to gain clarity and find effective ways forward. It suits those ready to foster lasting change in their lives.

Approach

My work unfolds as a collaborative, paced exploration that maps repeating patterns behind worries, persistent low energy and relationship cycles, then selects interventions that feel doable. Sessions—offered in English from Burnaby or online across British Columbia—move between focused skill practice, gentle body- and memory-based processing, and moments of experiment with new ways of relating. Between sessions you’ll try short practices and small relational experiments to test changes in real life. People who want steady, practical shifts tend to find this approach helpful.
