With over 40 years of experience as a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, I offer a space to deeply understand a full range of psychological difficulties. My expertise in trauma helps individuals navigate complex past events. Therapy unfolds steadily, using focused listening and interpretive reflection to link present patterns with earlier experiences. Sessions meet weekly in English, either in my Bethesda office or by secure online video, and move at a measured pace that balances free association, attention to dreams, and moments of direct clinical observation. Between sessions I encourage noticing recurring feelings and images to bring back and explore; in-session attention to the relationship itself often reveals practical routes forward.
