Psychotherapist

I work with people who have felt out of place in their families, relationships, workplaces, cultures, or even in their own bodies. Having grown up between languages and landscapes that never fully matched my inner world, I understand the quiet ache of not belonging. Our work together is an invitation to meet yourself with honesty and compassion, to notice the patterns you built to survive, and to rediscover the parts of you that long for connection. Here, we slow down and listen, so your own voice, not the world’s expectations, begins to guide you.

About Me

I am a psychotherapist based in T Nagar, Chennai. Much of my life has been shaped by living in places where the language, customs, and cultural rhythms felt unfamiliar. That early experience of being an outsider helps me connect deeply with expats, interstate migrants, third‑culture individuals, refugees of circumstance, and anyone who has felt unseen, misplaced, or “not from here.” Before becoming a therapist, I trained and worked as an engineer, living in the world of logic, structure, and performance. Over time, I found myself drawn to the emotional and relational layers beneath human behaviour. Today, I blend that analytical training with a presence‑oriented, feeling‑first approach, supporting individuals navigating issues of identity, loneliness, self-worth, conflict, and relationship struggles. Whether online or in person, I offer a space where you do not need to belong to fit in.

Approach

My approach is shaped by both worlds I come from: the clear lines of engineering and the fluid, often wordless terrain of emotional life. Many people who seek therapy with me struggle between these two realms, caught between the pressure to perform and the longing to simply be. In a reflective, relational, and embodied manner, we move at a pace that allows you to actually feel what is happening inside you, rather than rushing to explain or correct it. Sessions often involve: -> slowing down enough to notice what rises in your body and breath, -> naming the beliefs and fears underneath your reactions, -> understanding how past experiences shape your present relationships, -> learning to hold discomfort without collapsing into old patterns. I work in English, Tamil, and Hindi. Sessions are offered both online and in person. This work supports individuals who seek a deeper, gentler, and raw way of relating to themselves, not from pressure, performance, or forced positivity, but from the realisation that comes from spending a significant part of life navigating unfamiliar spaces, adapting to others’ expectations.

Basic Information

Services

A Depth-Oriented, Integrative Process: My work blends contemplative inquiry, relational awareness, somatic sensing, and psychological frameworks. We explore how early patterns, bodily responses, and unspoken beliefs continue to shape your present-day choices. Much of our progress comes from learning to feel, name, and stay with what arises—rather than pushing it away. Influence of Transactional Analysis: Though my style is integrative, I draw strongly from Transactional Analysis to understand relational dynamics, parts of the self, and the implicit contracts we form with others. This helps us see not just what you do, but why it feels necessary. A Partnership in Awareness: You bring lived experience; I bring presence, reflection, and a trained eye for emotional patterns. Together, we uncover insights that are already within you. The aim isn’t to perfect yourself, it’s to meet yourself more fully. A Rhythm of Reflection and Integration: Rather than rigid goal‑tracking, we return periodically to what has shifted, inside you, in your relationships, in your sense of safety. Progress often shows up subtly: an easier breath, a softer inner voice, a little more room for imperfection. Honest, Compassionate Dialogue: You are encouraged to express what feels true, your needs, fears, hesitations, or discomfort. This space is built on openness, respect, and genuine human connection. Your feedback helps us shape a therapeutic relationship that supports you deeply. If this way of working resonates with you, feel free to reach out via WhatsApp or email to begin your process.
