About Me

I provide a judgment-free space for you to explore your experiences. My focus on human dignity and shared values helps us connect with what truly matters. We can translate complex feelings into clear insights, finding a meaningful way forward. This approach is ideal for anyone seeking counsel that genuinely resonates and honours their unique story.

Approach

The first session is free, to quickly establish we're a good match. The next few session are full-length and more personal, aiming to get specific on problem analysis and to quickly learn skills to bring back a feeling of order and harmony in everyday life (behavioural therapy). Later sessions may dig deeper to gently untangle old emotional baggage, or to find meaningful purpose (existential therapy). The basis of my approach is humanistic, which involves seeing the client as a human whole, includes an openness to existential analysis, and ties-in well with my prioritisation of human dignity. It is useful for deeper, undefined psychological pain and dissatisfaction. I'm also trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), a type of CBT with very strong support from scientific studies, originally designed for BPD (Bipolar Personality Disorder). It offers good specific tools for rapidly getting wild thoughts and actions under control again. I've undertaken various other trainings which I utilise as-needed: online therapy, hypnosis, anger management and de-escalation, basics of schema therapy, basics of Jungian analysis, suicidality & self-harm management.

Services

I work with mostly with adults—undergraduates through to middle-aged—and sometimes with adolescents. Clients commonly present struggling with: - overbearing emotions or mood swings; - unstable relations (also friendships, or at workplace); - anxiety or general overwhelm; - unhappy with current life situation (a sense that "I should be doing something else") I offer online counselling via secure video, or text-based as needed, and in-person in my practices in Hamburg, Germany. Private-pay formats means there's no waiting times, minimal paperwork, and that session format can be customised to the true needs of the client.
