Dr Anindita Sarkar, DClinPsy

Registered Clinical Psychologist

I'm a consultant clinical psychologist providing evidence-based assessment and treatment for children, young people, adults and families, delivered in line with NICE guidelines and grounded in 25 years of clinical experience.

About Me

I'm Dr Anindita Sarkar, founder of Affiniti+ and a consultant clinical psychologist with over two decades in the NHS and Local authority clinical experience including working in the role as the Head of Clinical Services for a large London borough before I set up Affiniti+ (www.affinitiplus.com) built around accessible, evidence-based care. My work is collaborative: I want you to understand what's happening for you and leave each session with something practical to work with, not just insight for its own sake. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy, so what we do together is shaped by what actually helps you, not a fixed programme. Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel heard and can address what matters most without judgement.

Approach

Sessions follow a clear, collaborative structure: we set focused goals, build a shared formulation and try small, practical steps that fit your life. Whether we meet in London or online, I keep sessions paced and measured, blending careful assessment with brief experiments between sessions so progress feels concrete and manageable. For young people and adults alike, the work is tailored: sometimes more behavioural, sometimes more reflective, always checking what's actually helping. This suits people who want reliable, structured support through change rather than an open-ended chat.

Services

I work across a broad range of presentations, including anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma and difficulties adjusting to life changes, drawing on CBT and other NICE-recommended interventions matched to what the evidence supports for each presentation. I also work with children and young people, parents, organisations and practitioners looking for structured, accessible psychological input rather than a generic wellbeing offer.
