Mrs Anet Pistorius, MA

Clinical Psychologist

I am a Clinical Psychologist in private practice, assisting individuals, couple's and families in trouble and seeking peace of mind

About Me

I am a Clinical Psychologist based in Brooklyn, Gauteng, South Africa. I help you address abuse, conduct problems, mood disorders, and LGBTQI+ concerns. I offer online therapy, psychotherapy, adolescent therapy, family therapy, and adoption assessments.

Approach

I was trained at the University of Pretoria in the Psychodynamic framework. As the years passed by and working in different settings, I developed an eclectic approach which incorporates a Systems and Solution focused approach, as well as elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy.

I strongly believe that change can be facilitated in a warm, non-judgemental and mutually congruent space, in other words client-centered. I believe that people are inherently motivated towards positive psychological functioning.
