Miss Andrea Jacobs

Educational Psychologist

Educational psychologist working with children and adults. Special interest in anxiety, adjustment and concessions.

About Me

As an Educational Psychologist, I support children and adults navigating their learning paths. My M.Ed in Educational Psychology informs my approach to anxiety and adjustment challenges. I help you understand these difficulties and develop practical strategies. This often involves tailored assessments to secure academic support, such as exam concessions. My aim is to help you or your child build confidence and truly thrive within educational settings.

Approach

With a focus on development across school years, I help you turn assessment insights into manageable steps that reduce worry and ease adjustment. Sessions in Randburg or via secure online video, conducted in English, are structured and paced to suit attention spans and family rhythms. For younger clients I use play and short tasks to reveal strengths and build routines; with adolescents and adults we practise coping skills, organise concession paperwork and set clear study or transition plans. This way of working suits those wanting practical, steady progress.
