Mrs Anandi Jooste

Registered Social Worker

My approach is client focused, holistic, somatic and compassionate! I have been working in different eating disorder services for almost a decade offering individual and group psychotherapy, and am also trained as a yoga teacher and intuitive eating counsellor. My focus areas include body image work.

About Me

With almost a decade in eating disorder services, I support individuals and groups navigating body image and food challenges. My compassionate approach blends individual and group psychotherapy. As a trained yoga teacher and intuitive eating counsellor, I help clients explore a holistic, somatic path. We can work together to understand your relationship with food and body. My aim is to foster a kinder, more confident connection.

Approach

Therapy blends gentle somatic practices with reflective talk so we can notice how sensations, thoughts and habits show up around eating and self-view. In sessions I balance paced, practical experiments—movement prompts, mindfulness exercises and short reflections—with collaborative goal-setting; between meetings you may be offered small, doable tasks to try in daily life. My style is steady and attuned, rooted in curiosity rather than judgment. This way of working often suits adolescents and adults seeking a kinder, more grounded relationship with themselves.
