Amy Commanda

Registered Psychotherapist

I am ready and committed to providing a safe, therapeutic environment to best facilitate your healing journey whether you have general concerns such as anxiety, depression, and stress or whether you need support related to maternal health (pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and postpartum) and/or women's wellness.

About Me

I am committed to providing a safe, therapeutic environment where you can truly feel heard. If you are navigating general concerns like anxiety, depression, or stress, I offer dedicated support. My specialisation also extends to maternal health, guiding you through pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and postpartum. For women seeking broader wellness support, this space is for you. We will work together, at your own pace, to gently navigate your unique healing journey.

Approach

You’ll notice sessions are collaborative and paced to your needs, whether we meet in Sudbury or online. I blend acceptance-based reflection with practical skill-building, using brief in-session experiments and gentle mindfulness to shift how you respond to stress, parenting challenges, or pregnancy transitions. Between sessions I often suggest short, doable practices to try and we review what worked without pressure. This way of working tends to suit adults, parents and couples navigating change and everyday overwhelm.
