About Me
I understand how challenging it can be for young children to express big feelings. My focus is supporting children aged 3-12 as they navigate worries, changes, or difficult experiences. I offer a calm, welcoming space where they can explore their world and find their voice. Together, we build confidence and develop practical ways to manage emotions. Parents appreciate seeing their child grow and feel more settled.
Approach
When children struggle to name big feelings, I use gentle, playful methods that let them show rather than tell what’s going on. In Potchefstroom I meet with children in Afrikaans or English, keeping sessions steady and predictable so nervous little bodies can relax. We play, draw and use short, structured activities to notice patterns, then share practical steps and simple home tasks with parents to try between sessions. This way of working suits families facing change or adoption who want clear, gentle support.
