Alida Bonnet

Counseling Psychologist

I strive to create a collaborative partnership with my clients that aims to empower them to gain insight, find their existing resilience and resources of strength, and take action toward their true desired change.

About Me

I approach our work as a collaborative partnership, focusing on your unique strengths. Together, we will explore your experiences to gain deeper insight and uncover your existing resilience. This process helps identify inner resources and build confidence. If you are ready for meaningful, lasting change, I offer a supportive space to empower your journey.

Approach

I work with a steady, reflective rhythm in sessions, pausing to map patterns, celebrate small shifts and turn understandings into manageable next steps. I offer appointments in English and Afrikaans from Sandton and online, so we can choose the setting that feels safest and most practical for you. Our time often blends careful, exploratory listening with focused techniques—gentle trauma processing, mood tracking and short between-session experiments to build confidence and coping. This way of working tends to suit adolescents and young adults navigating transitions, loss or persistent anxiety.
