Albana

Albana (Miho) Antone, MA

Licensed Professional Counselor

I help clients feel understood, grounded, and empowered to create meaningful change. My approach is calm, steady, and collaborative; we work together at a pace that feels manageable, focusing on what matters most to you. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you make sense of your experiences, so you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m Albanian‑speaking and a spouse of a first responder and U.S. Veteran, giving me lived insight into deployments, military life, and responder stress. I practice through Antone Counseling and Consulting Services LLC offering a safe and respectful space where you feel heard and supported. I help adults understand patterns shaped by trauma and stress, environments and experiences. I use CBT, trauma informed care, Prolonged Exposure, person centered, and strength-based approaches, with training in Early Serious Mental Illness (OnTrackNY). If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin, you’re not alone. Reaching out can feel difficult, especially when life has been heavy for a long time. I offer a calm, steady space to sort through what’s weighing on you and move at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.

About Me

I guide individuals through life transitions and personal growth, drawing on my dual Master's degrees in Criminal Justice and Developmental Psychology. My approach integrates scientific understanding with practical strategies, respecting your privacy and building a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. I help clients navigate challenges by focusing on their strengths and fostering resilience.

Approach

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Mindfulness techniques, and eclectic methods to help you understand patterns and build useful skills. In our first session, we explore what you're facing and what you want from therapy. We decide together on a plan that feels meaningful and manageable.
