Abin

Mr Abin Mathew

Certified Rehabilitation Counselor

I am an RCI Registered mental health professional practising an intersectional, queer, trans*affirmative, and trauma-informed approach. Specialising in disability, I remain open to diverse communities. I embrace intersectionality, recognising oppression, marginalisation, and privilege.

About Me

As an RCI Registered professional, I offer a dedicated space for children and adolescents to navigate complex feelings. My practice uses an intersectional, queer, and trans*affirmative approach. This means we explore experiences through a lens that acknowledges oppression and privilege. All parts of you feel seen. I create a trauma-informed environment, helping young people feel safe to explore their world and foster resilience.

Approach

Holding complexity and safety together, I move between gentle structure and curiosity so children and adolescents can explore feelings without rush. I offer appointments in New Delhi and online, working in English, Hindi/Urdu or Malayalam, and tailor session length and activities to attention and need. Therapy is collaborative: we use play, assessment, skill practice and short between-session steps, tracking what helps and adjusting pace. This way of working often helps families and young people seeking an affirming, rights-aware space to grow resilience.
