Miss Abigail (Abby) Wilson

Clinical Psychologist

An experienced Clinical Psychologist working with adults only from a psychodynamic relational framework. EMDR trained for trauma processing.

About Me

I offer a thoughtful space for adults to deeply explore their experiences. Drawing on a psychodynamic relational approach, I help individuals understand long-standing patterns and their impact. For those healing from difficult events, I integrate EMDR to gently process trauma. My aim is to support you in navigating complex emotions. We work together to build stronger connections with yourself and others, fostering lasting change.

Approach

Therapy with me focuses on exploring how early relationships shape present responses, and I introduce EMDR when traumatic memories feel overwhelming. Sessions in Cape Town are held in English and paced to your rhythm—sometimes slow and reflective, sometimes more active as we process material together. We use focused listening, linking past and present patterns, and practical steps between sessions to consolidate insights and coping. This approach tends to suit adults facing anxiety, loss, transitions, addictions or difficulties with self-image and relationships.
