Counseling Psychologist

Verified

Experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist providing short- and long-term therapy, informed by trauma-sensitive and body-oriented methods.

About Me

Many people come to therapy when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or hard to manage. As a registered Counselling Psychologist, I provide a thoughtful, and open-minded space to explore these experiences—whether through a short-term process or a longer journey of self-discovery. Based in Pretoria East, South Africa, I work with adults and couples both in person and online, offering practical, skills-based support as well as deeper, insight-oriented interventions. My approach is collaborative and responsive to your unique situation, helping you make sense of your experiences, develop new ways of coping, and create meaningful change in your life and relationships.

Approach

My work is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, with an integrative and trauma-sensitive approach. In sessions, I listen closely to what is spoken, what is felt, and what may not yet be easily named, providing a reflective space to gain insight and explore practical ways of addressing current difficulties. Where clinically appropriate, I incorporate body-oriented methods and awareness, recognising that emotional experiences are often held beyond conscious thought. Attending to the body’s knowing can support emotional processing, regulation, and psychological integration. Beginning therapy is a courageous and meaningful step. This work can help ease difficulties such as anxiety and depression, support more authentic living, deepen relationships, and foster greater meaning in both work and life.
