❝How to manage your time during exams or tests❞
Here are a few strategies that are effective in time utilisation that you can implement;
Therapy should be personal. Therapists listed on TherapyRoute are qualified, independent, and free to answer to you – no scripts, algorithms, or company policies.
Find Your Therapist
- effective delegation
- learning to say ‘no’
- getting into a routine
- don’t procrastinate
- set performance & completion tasks goals each day
- reward yourself for successful completion of the goals.
It is very important that as you study for your exams you also allocate time to relax and de-stress. When planning your weekly study schedule remember to schedule challenging subjects on days when more time is available; revise work covered so far for better understanding beware that every week your time schedule may be different and have mini-goals that are tied to your long-term goals.
To round it off take note of what takes most of your time which can be referred to as “typical thieves of time” so that you can manage them. Typical "time thieves" can include unplanned and unexpected activities, the inability to say “NO”, unnecessary meetings, participating in too many activities, constantly putting things off (procrastinating); not knowing what to do first (being disorganised) and simply talking about what needs to be done without really doing anything about it.
Important Points to Remember
- Work on high priorities, don’t leave everything until it is a crisis
- Concentrate on 1 thing at a time
- Don’t over-schedule – do 1 thing properly rather than 3 things poorly
- Always complete the assigned section before moving on to something else
- Don’t fuss about that you did not achieve in the past
- Make the best of your time now and in the future
