In Taiwan, state-licensed 'Clinical Psychologists' and separately licensed 'Counseling Psychologists' operate under different rules, and knowing how to check their official state license is the first step toward finding safe mental health care.

In Taiwan, the regulation of mental health professionals is managed by the state. Psychiatrists are medically licensed, while a mandatory licensing system provides separate credentials for clinical and counselling psychologists.

This guide explains the requirements for each profession, how to verify a provider's official license, and what to look for to ensure you receive qualified care.

Therapy should be personal. Our therapists are qualified, independent, and free to answer to you – no scripts, algorithms, or company policies.
