Follow these steps to ensure these client messages consistently reach your inbox:
How to make an email address safe to ensure delivery
Gmail
1. Via the Inbox:
- Open the email in your inbox, hover over the sender's name, and select "Add to contacts" from the popup window.
Therapy should be personal. Therapists listed on TherapyRoute are qualified, independent, and free to answer to you – no scripts, algorithms, or company policies.
Find Your Therapist2. Via the Subject Line:
- Hover over the sender's name near the subject line and click "More" in the popup.
- Choose "Add to senders."
Yahoo! Mail
1. Click the "Contacts" icon.
2. At the bottom of the sidebar, click "Add a new contact."
3. Fill in the sender’s name and email address in the "Email" field.
4. Click "Save."
AOL Webmail
1. In the lower-left corner, click the "Contacts" icon.
2. Click "Add New Contact."
3. Enter the sender’s name and email address and click "Add Contact."
Outlook
1. Via People Icon:
- Click the "People" icon, then "Add a contact."
- Enter the sender's name and email address, then click "Create."
2. Via Junk Email Settings:
- Click the "Settings" icon and select "View all Outlook settings."
- Navigate to "Junk email," then click "Add" under "Safe senders and domains."
- Enter the sender's email address and click "Save."
Apple Mail
1. Select "Mail" > "Preferences" from the menu.
2. Click the "Rules" tab and choose "Add Rule."
3. Enter a rule description and set the following:
- "If any of the following conditions are met: From Contains."
- Enter the sender’s email address and select "Move Message" to "Inbox."
4. Click "OK."
Verizon
1. Open your email and click "Options."
2. Click "Block Senders," locate the "Safe List," and add your contact’s domain.
3. Click "OK."
Comcast
1. Click "Address Book," then "New," and select "New Contact."
2. Add the sender’s email address and click "Save."
Cox.net
1. Open your email and click "Preferences."
2. Under "General Email Preferences," click "Blocked Senders."
3. Add the sender’s email address to the "Exceptions List," then click "Add" and "Save."
Road Runner
1. Open the "Junk Mail" folder and select the desired email.
2. Click "Mark as Not Spam."
AT&T WebMail
1. Click "Options" > "Filters," then click "Add Filter."
2. In "From Header," choose "contains" from the dropdown and input the sender's email.
3. In "Move the message to," select "Inbox" and click "Add Filter."

1. Click "Add" and enter the sender's domain (e.g., example.com).
2. Click "Save."
Thunderbird
1. Check if the sender's email is in the "Junk" folder. If so, right-click it and choose "Mark As Not Junk."
2. Click "Address Book," highlight "Personal Address Book," and click "New Card."
3. Enter the sender's address and click "OK."
Windstream
1. Click "Settings" > "Messages" > "Allow and Block Messages."
2. Under "Allowed Senders and Domains," add the sender’s email address, then click "OK."
Norton AntiSpam
1. Start Norton AntiSpam and select "Status & Settings."

1. In the Control Console, click "Allow/Deny."

How to recover email marked as spam and train your software
Apple Mail (Desktop):
1. Open the junk folder, move the message to the inbox, and add the sender to the address book.
2. Right-click the sender’s email address in the message and choose "Add to Contacts."
Apple Mail (iOS Devices):
1. Move the message from the junk folder to the inbox.
2. Tap the From email address, then "Create New Contact."
AOL Webmail:
1. Find the message in the spam folder, click "OK, Not Spam," and add the sender to the address book.
2. Click "Contacts," then "New Contact," and enter the email address.
Gmail (Desktop and Mobile):
1. Mark the message as "Not Spam," then add the sender's address to the contact list by creating a new contact.
Outlook:
1. Mark the message as "Not Junk," then add the sender's address to the contacts list.
2. Right-click the sender's name, select "Add to Contacts," and ensure only the email address is added.
Outlook.com:
1. Right-click the message in the junk folder and choose "Not Junk."
