About Me
Hi, I’m Turfa (she/her), a psychotherapist offering online therapy for young adults and adults. I previously served as a Clinical Psychologist and Faculty member in Psychology at academic institutions in Karnataka before moving into full-time consultation work.
My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and person-centred, rooted in the belief that healing unfolds when someone feels seen, understood, and supported without pressure or judgment. In therapy, I don’t take an expert stance; instead, I honour your pace, lived experience, and meet you where you are. I view the therapeutic process as two people navigating a shared landscape together: you are familiar with your terrain, and I provide a grounded presence, perspective, and tools along the way.
I work with clients across India and with Indian citizens globally, supporting them as they build insight, deepen their connection with themselves, and move toward a life that feels more aligned, meaningful, and grounded in their values.
Approach
Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or carrying the silent weight of an unsupported childhood. I meet each client within the reality of their socio-cultural background, identity, and personal story, honouring the complexity of how their world shaped them. Therapy becomes a space to slow down, understand what has been holding you back, and reconnect with a more grounded sense of self. I support you in making sense of where you have been, what shaped you, and what you need now. My approach is integrative, collaborative, and trauma-informed, grounded in each person’s lived experience. I focus on creating a non-judgmental space where you feel understood and supported. I don’t take an expert stance; rather, therapy is a process of walking alongside you, offering perspective and clarity as you navigate your journey.
Services
In individual psychotherapy for adults, I commonly work with concerns related to childhood emotional neglect, trauma, anxiety, low mood or depression, gender identity and sexuality, neurodivergence (ADHD/Autism), relationship difficulties/dynamics, self-worth, body image, and major life transitions.
