Counseling Psychologist

verified by TherapyRoute

I offer depth-oriented psychotherapy to individuals, couples and intimate partners who are interested in understanding themselves at a deeper level. My work integrates clinical rigour with a thoughtful, community-aware perspective, and is grounded in relational psychoanalytic thinking. I am an affirming therapist, working with LGBTQIA+ clients, consensual non-monogamies, and neurodivergent individuals. I aim to create a space where complexity is respected, and where people can move beyond coping toward a more meaningful understanding of their emotional and relational lives.

About Me

I am Tee (Tiaan) Landman, a Counselling Psychologist based in Pretoria, South Africa. I work with adults, couples and intimate partners offering both in-person and online psychotherapy. My practice centres on relationships: both the relationship you have with yourself and those you form with others. I work with people navigating anxiety, mood difficulties, identity questions, trauma, sexual and relational concerns, and personality-related patterns. Alongside this, I have a particular interest in working with gender and sexuality, psychosexual health, and neurodivergence. My consulting room is a space where people can bring the parts of themselves that may feel complicated, uncertain, or difficult to articulate, without pressure to simplify or perform.

Approach

My work is relational and psychoanalytic, grounded in consistent, weekly sessions that allow your inner world to unfold over time. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we pay attention to the underlying patterns, conflicts, and meanings that give rise to them. As the therapeutic relationship develops, it becomes part of the work itself. Patterns that exist elsewhere in your life often emerge in the room, where they can be thought about, understood, and worked through in a different way. This process allows for something more lasting than short-term coping strategies. I draw on contemporary psychoanalysis alongside trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming perspectives. Together, we explore how your emotional patterns were formed, what they have been protecting, and how they continue to shape your relationships, identity, and sense of self. This approach tends to resonate with people who are not looking for quick fixes, but for depth, clarity, and meaningful change.
