Mrs Tanya Muir

Occupational Therapist

An occupational therapist with special interest and training in SLEEP & FATIGUE DISORDERS AND HEALTH across the lifespan. My additional training covers paediatric sleep training, adolescent sleep difficulties, insomnia, shiftwork fatigue management and mental health group therapy.

About Me

When sleep feels out of reach or fatigue drains your energy, it impacts every part of life. I help individuals of all ages restore healthy sleep patterns and manage persistent fatigue. My training covers challenges like paediatric sleep issues, adolescent difficulties, and insomnia. I also support those managing shiftwork fatigue, offering practical, personalised strategies. My aim is to help you navigate these challenges and improve your overall health and wellbeing.

Approach

When nights stretch long or energy dips unpredictably, I focus on practical routines and small experiments tailored to your day-to-day demands. Sessions in Sandton or via secure online meetings in English offer a calm, structured space where we review patterns, set realistic goals and prioritise gentle, measurable changes. Between appointments I ask for short logs and simple tasks so adjustments are based on what actually works for you, not theory alone. This stepwise, hands-on way of working suits parents, students, shift workers and anyone living with persistent fatigue.
