Mr Tamas Biro

Social Worker (Mental Health)

I am a master-level licensed social worker (LSW) with ministerial experience. I served in the U.S. Army as a battalion chaplain and as a mental health therapist in a mobile crisis team and have tremendous experience with individual and couple counseling.

About Me

I offer a grounded space for individuals and couples navigating life's most challenging moments. My extensive experience includes serving as a military chaplain and mental health therapist in crisis settings. I help clients find stability amidst distress. We can explore complex emotions and develop practical ways forward. I support those seeking a steady, experienced guide through difficult transitions or relationship struggles.

Approach

When intense moments come up, my work focuses on creating clear, usable steps so overwhelm becomes manageable rather than mysterious. In sessions—in Olympia Fields, over secure online video, and in either English or Hungarian—we move at a steady, practical pace: short-focused mindfulness practices, values-based ACT experiments, and space for exploring faith and forgiveness when that matters to you. Between meetings I suggest small, doable practices to test new ways of relating and coping. People facing crisis, trauma, or relationship strain often find this steady, action-oriented rhythm helpful.
