““Sometimes the only way out is through.” — Robert Frost. My path to counselling is as much lived as it is learned, being a childhood trauma survivor. With a Master’s in Counselling Psychology with distinction, my promise to every client is simple: If you bring the commitment, I will be there to help you walk the path to recovery and resolution, from whatever troubles you.”

About me

If you feel stuck in life, in a relationship, or confused about life's challenges, I can help. Sometimes, we don't know the way forward, and talking things through can help us unlock what we need to resolve. As a childhood trauma survivor myself, I understand how early experiences can shape the way we see life. I am a Counselling Psychologist with an MA (Distinction) and over six years of practice. The emotional baggage we carry from childhood can become an obstacle to our peace and personal growth, often showing up as abandonment issues, low self-worth, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. Using CBT, inner child healing, shadow work, and somatic work, we explore the root causes together in a safe, non-judgemental space. If you are struggling with addiction, I support clients participating in the AA programme and work alongside their sponsors as a therapist, helping them face their deepest fears so that addiction is no longer their only way of coping. I also work with the families of people struggling with addiction, helping them understand addiction and learn how to navigate its challenges. If trauma is affecting your life today, I use somatic bodywork to help you process trauma-related experiences and work towards greater nervous system regulation, making it easier to cope with life's stresses. There is always a way forward. I will be there to hold a safe space for you as you find your way through whatever you are struggling with. I run a successful practice and have supported many people struggling with addiction, their families, and trauma survivors. I have also reached more than 1,000 women through life skills workshops focused on leading a more holistic life.

Approach

CBT: My practice is based on uncovering and addressing root causes, not managing surface symptoms, enabling genuine, lasting recovery. Using CBT, I work back to the activating event that shapes perspectives and, in turn, drives thoughts, feelings, and actions. Trauma-Informed Counselling: I am deeply influenced by the work of Peter A. Levine, integrating body-based and inner child approaches alongside psychotherapy where required. This is especially effective when dealing with trauma or addiction. Somatic Work: The body carries imprints of life experiences that need to be released through awareness. I guide clients in releasing stuck emotions such as anger, grief, and shame, helping them move from reliance on external validation or reactions to the external world towards integrated self-awareness and genuine connection. Gestalt Therapy: I follow Gestalt therapy, uncovering all that is not you so you can become who you are and fully accept yourself on the path to wholeness.
