Mr Steven Schklar

Psychotherapist (Registered)

A senior therapist in private practice. I practice Relational, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I work with adults twenty to eighty years old.

About Me

I offer a thoughtful space for adults, aged twenty to eighty, to explore their inner world. Through Relational, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, we explore how past experiences shape your present. We can gently unpack long-standing patterns, helping you make sense of yourself and your relationships. This approach offers a path to deeper understanding, finding new ways to connect with yourself and others.

Approach

Therapy here moves at a steady, thoughtful pace, attending to the small, recurring moments that shape how you feel and connect. In my Toronto practice and online in English, we meet weekly or as needed, keeping sessions focused yet open to what surfaces. I help people track patterns around anxiety, mood shifts, stress, divorce and relationship dilemmas, using careful listening, gentle challenge and reflective feedback; between sessions I may offer short reflections or small experiments to try. This approach often suits adults seeking steady, thoughtful change.
