About me

I believe most people who walk into a psychiatrist’s room have been carrying something heavy for a long time, often silently. My first job is to make you feel safe enough to put it down. In our sessions, I listen without rushing or judging, explain what’s happening in plain language, and involve you in every decision about your care, whether that means understanding yourself better, therapy, lifestyle changes or, where it genuinely helps, medication. I work with young adults, new mothers, working professionals, couples, families and older adults, and what they share is a wish to feel like themselves again. My aim is not just to reduce symptoms but to help you build a life that feels steady, meaningful and your own.

Approach

Reaching out for help takes courage, and I want our time together to feel like a safe, comfortable place to land. I’ll begin by simply getting to know you: your story, the people in your life, what your days look like and what you’re hoping might feel different. There’s no rush and no judgment, only space to be yourself. Together, we’ll shape a plan that feels right for you, which may include talking things through, cognitive behavioural techniques, small changes to sleep and routine, involving loved ones if you’d like and, when it can truly help, medication. I’ll always explain the why behind each step, so you feel informed and in control. Healing takes time, and I’ll walk beside you through every part of it, celebrating the small wins and gently adjusting along the way.
