Saranyaa Sarvananthan, BSc

Registered Psychotherapist

Hi there! I’m Saranyaa, a Registered Psychotherapist. I provide a safe, compassionate space for adults and couples to process experiences, reduce anxiety, and build stronger relationships and self-compassion. I work with individuals navigating trauma, grief, or life transitions, and couples seeking deeper connection and communication. Together, we focus on helping you reduce emotional overwhelm, improve relationships, and strengthen boundaries - supporting you to feel more grounded, empowered, and connected.

About Me

I build on the idea that every voice deserves to be truly heard and understood. As a psychodynamic psychotherapist and feminist counsellor, I offer a warm, confidential space for exploration. I compassionately guide you to uncover deeper insights through empathic challenging. This approach is ideal for individuals & couples seeking to make sense of their experiences and foster lasting well-being. Here, all parts of you are welcome.

Approach

When we meet, my focus is listening for the patterns beneath your stories and naming the small, often overlooked shifts that open new choices. Sessions in Kitchener or online, in English or Tamil, move at a steady, conversational pace- sometimes reflective silence, sometimes empathic challenge- so you can try ideas here and between sessions through gentle reflections or short experiments. I pay close attention to identity, relationship wounds, and trauma memories while holding your safety and agency. People seeking clarity around life transitions, self-worth, or complex hurts often find this way of working helpful.

Basic Information

Services

My services include individual and couples therapy. I use Psychodynamic psychotherapy which uses the here & now- then dives into your past and uncovers, links patterns and dynamics into the present. I also use Feminist counselling skills to use systems that we are apart of and role that we have been put into to acknowledge and make change for the better. For couples work, I use Emotionally focused therapy, and Internal Family systems, and sex therapy to use a combination tailored to your specific situation. I am currently in training for sex therapy, and use a consultant to get feedback and advise as I learn this new speciality.
