Sarah De Battista

Psychotherapist (Gestalt)

I am a warranted Gestalt Psychotherapist and a Forensic Psychology Practitioner. I work with individuals who are experiencing challenges that may lead to anxiety, trauma, depression, anger, and other behavioural and emotional difficulties. I adopt a warm and empathic approach and challenge when necessary.

About Me

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, or anger, helping them understand and manage difficult emotions. As a warranted Gestalt Psychotherapist, I offer a warm, empathic space where we can explore challenges together. I also gently challenge when needed, encouraging new perspectives. This balanced approach helps you find clarity and develop effective coping strategies for lasting well-being.

Approach

I work with you through focused, present-moment noticing alongside clear, practical thinking about safety, boundaries and next steps. In my Birkirkara consulting room (English and Maltese available) sessions are paced to your tolerance: we pause to attend to felt experience, name patterns, then carefully test new ways of being. I bring clinical rigour when needed — clarifying risks, supporting reports or reflections between meetings — while keeping the tone supportive and direct. This way suits people seeking honest, steady change.
