Specialist Wellness Counselor

verified by TherapyRoute

My ideal client is someone who feels stuck in patterns of stress, self-doubt, or overwhelm, yet wants to move toward resilience and confidence. They may be navigating life changes, parenting challenges, or the weight of past experiences, and they’re ready to explore new ways of understanding themselves. I work best with people who value practical tools alongside compassionate support—clients who appreciate clear explanations, visual handouts, and strategies they can apply in daily life. Together, we create space for reflection, movement, and connection, helping them shift from surviving to thriving.

About Me

Working with me means having a space that is calm, supportive, and practical. I help people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about their next steps—whether that’s managing stress, navigating life changes, or building resilience. My style is warm and collaborative: I listen deeply, explain concepts in simple, client-friendly ways, and provide tools you can use outside of sessions. Together, we blend reflection, movement, and connection, so you leave not only feeling heard but also equipped with strategies to thrive in everyday life.

Approach

My approach to therapy combines warmth, practical tools, and insights from neuroscience. I believe that when we understand how our brain works, we can make sense of our emotions and patterns. For example, the amygdala acts like an alarm system, alerting us to stress, while the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) helps us pause, reflect, and shift focus. When these systems feel out of balance, we may get stuck in anxiety, self-doubt, or old habits. To make this simple and practical, I use a framework called state–story–strategy. First, we notice your state—the emotional or physical signals your body and brain are sending. Then we explore the story—the beliefs or narratives that shape how you see yourself and the world. Finally, we develop a new strategy—practical steps and tools that calm the stress signals, strengthen resilience, and help you move forward. I use metaphors, visual handouts, and structured exercises to make these ideas easy to grasp, so you leave sessions not only feeling supported but also equipped with strategies you can apply in everyday life

Basic Information

Services

Alongside stress management, trauma recovery, and parenting support, I also work with high performers—including sports athletes—who want to strengthen focus, manage pressure, and perform at their best. Using tools like CBT, REBT, visualization, and archetypes, combined with neuroscience insights, I help athletes understand how their brain responds under stress and how to shift into states of confidence and clarity. This approach supports both everyday resilience and peak performance, so whether you’re navigating life changes or striving for excellence in sport, therapy provides practical strategies to help you thrive.
