CORE SERVICES:
My approach is warm, respectful, and collaborative. I tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs, values, and goals, drawing on evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Exposure Therapy, and Response Prevention. I aim to create a safe, inclusive space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to manage life’s challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful change.
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision and an important step toward improving your wellbeing. It can help to consider a therapist’s qualifications, areas of expertise, and experience with the issues you’re seeking support for. It's also important to find someone you feel comfortable with, someone who listens with empathy, respects your values, and works collaboratively with you. You may not feel a strong connection right away, but feeling safe and understood is key. Trust your instincts, and don’t hesitate to ask questions before committing to ongoing sessions.
In therapy, you can expect a safe, confidential, and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Early sessions often focus on understanding your concerns, goals, and history. As therapy progresses, your psychologist will work collaboratively with you to develop practical strategies, build insight, and support meaningful change. Sessions are guided by evidence-based approaches and tailored to your individual needs. Therapy can involve both talking through challenges and learning new skills to manage emotions, behaviours, and relationships. While it may sometimes feel challenging, therapy can lead to greater clarity, resilience, and wellbeing.
