Miss Rebecca Cox

CBT Psychotherapist

I have expensive experience in Anxiety and Depression treatment and as a CBT therapist offering one-to-one Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for adults, both online across the UK and face to face in Poole, Dorset. I provide a supportive, structured, and evidence-based approach to therapy, helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. I work with people experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, low mood, panic, overthinking, low self-esteem, and burnout. Many of my clients feel stuck in unhelpful patterns, overwhelmed by daily life, or disconnected from themselves. CBT offers practical tools to help manage these difficulties while also creating meaningful, long-term change. I offer online CBT therapy for clients across the UK, providing flexible and accessible support from the comfort of your own home. I also offer in-person CBT therapy in Poole, Dorset, for those who prefer face-to-face sessions. Whether you are seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, work-related stress, or personal growth, I provide professional, ethical, and confidential CBT therapy focused on helping you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

About Me

Qualified experienced BABCP accredited CBT therapist offering compassionate, evidence-based talking therapy for adults who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves or others. I work with people experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, depression, burnout, life transitions, and self-esteem difficulties. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with an emphasis on personalised formulations, practical tools, emotional understanding, and building long-term resilience. My work is trauma-informed and collaborative, meaning we move at your pace and focus on what feels most helpful for you. I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and empowering. Whether you’re seeking help for anxiety, depression, work stress, or simply want space to reconnect with yourself, I aim to help you develop insight, coping strategies, and confidence that extends beyond our sessions.

Approach

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. In our sessions, we work together to identify patterns that may be maintaining difficulties and develop coping strategies that feel realistic and sustainable. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. When worry, low mood or past shocks start to take up too much of your day, I help break concerns into manageable, practical steps so change feels possible. Sessions in Poole or online are structured, collaborative and paced to suit you, with clear language and simple tools we can try together. Between meetings you'll get short experiments and stress‑management practices to test what works, with gentle review each week so progress is visible. This way of working tends to suit adults and parents who want steady, practical progress.
