Dr Rachel Freedland

Licensed Clinical Social Workers

Compassionate and experienced therapist aiming to help my clients determine and take charge of the direction of their lives.

About Me

As a compassionate and experienced therapist, I guide clients ready to steer their own course. Feeling unsure about life’s direction is common. Together, we explore your strengths and values within a supportive space. This helps you gain clarity and confidence. Our sessions identify practical steps. This helps you determine and truly take charge of the life you want.

Approach

I focus on translating the clarity you discover into manageable steps, adjusting pace so small wins build confidence. Sessions—either in my Farmington Hills office or through secure telehealth—feel grounded and practical, leaving room to reflect and plan between meetings. We use focused dialogue, pragmatic goal-setting, and real-world experiments to address anxiety, mood shifts, relationship patterns, and the effects of trauma, tracking what changes week to week. This way of working tends to help adults ready to move from uncertainty toward steady, self-directed progress.
