Mrs Rachel Mitchell

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Do you feel like you are stuck in a loop of sadness, resentment and conflict? I have 10 years of experience working with individuals and couples using various treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, Gottman, and EFT to identify and change dynamics and patterns that are no longer helpful. I am LGBTQI+ allied.

About Me

It’s exhausting to feel stuck in cycles of sadness, resentment, or conflict. I help individuals and couples gently unravel these patterns. We will work together to identify the roots of these dynamics, using structured conversations to reframe unhelpful thoughts. My approach is collaborative, welcoming LGBTQI+ clients to find clarity. Together, we can build more fulfilling connections and move towards lasting change.

Approach

When those familiar loops keep showing up, I help you map where they start and what keeps them going. In San Diego and via secure online sessions in English, we'll work at a steady, practical pace that balances clear structure with space to name difficult feelings. Sessions mix focused skill practice, brief experiments to shift interactions, and moments to track emotional triggers between meetings. People navigating divorce, life transitions, or stuck relational patterns often find this grounded, collaborative pace useful.
