About Us
We are a Sarasota, Florida mental health organization holding Florida Mental Health License #3476. We provide counseling, relationship counseling, clinical supervision, and consultation to individuals, couples, and clinicians. We deliver clear, practical care in a respectful, down-to-earth way.
Approach
Your concerns are my priority. Whether you are depressed, anxious, have relationship issues, motivational problems - first and foremost we sit down and assess your situation.
We will also assess how well we fit. In other words, are you and I a good match? Does it feel reasonably comfortable at the beginning of our working relationship? Are we communicating well? Do you feel understood or at least hopeful that I’m going to understand you?
Our work is conducted in what is known as a relational approach. Our relationship becomes the vehicle for any successful process of treatment or plan for change. This is critical in order to move into an exploration of your circumstances. We must be compatible and you need to sense that I’m savvy and competent in order for us to move forward together.
Fundamentally we collaborate in the formulation of a plan. You talk, I listen - it’s a process of inquiry, exploration, observation and reflection. We will revise and adjust as needed in the process of defining and attaining your goals, resolutions and ultimately your satisfaction.
