Mr Oleksii Toroptsev, M.Psi.

Chartered Psychologist

I am a psychologist providing online support for expats and people navigating life transitions. My work focuses on anxiety, relocation, identity changes, relationship challenges, and the impact of stressful experiences. With over three years of practice and a psychoanalytic, trauma-informed approach, I offer a thoughtful space to explore emotions, patterns, and personal meaning. I work with Ukrainian English and French speaking clients worldwide, creating culturally sensitive and supportive therapeutic relationships.

About Me

I am a psychologist offering online support to expats and individuals navigating major life transitions. Originally from Ukraine and now living in France, I bring both professional training and lived experience of relocation, cultural adjustment, and rebuilding a sense of stability in a new environment. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology, currently undergoing recognition in France, and I am continuing my training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Over the past three years, I have worked with clients online across different countries, supporting them through anxiety, identity changes, relationship challenges, and the emotional impact of stressful experiences.

Approach

My approach is grounded in psychoanalytic thinking and informed by trauma-sensitive principles. I provide a reflective, respectful space where clients can explore their inner world, recurring patterns, and the meaning behind their experiences. I work primarily with expats and Ukrainian speaking clients, while also offering sessions in English or French and, when needed, Russian. My practice is culturally sensitive and attentive to the complexities of living between languages, cultures, and personal histories.

Basic Information

Services

My work focuses on supporting individuals navigating relocation, cultural transition, and life in a new country. I specialise in working with expats and internationally mobile clients who may be experiencing anxiety, identity shifts, loneliness, uncertainty, or a loss of belonging.I understand the psychological impact of building a life between cultures and help clients integrate these experiences in a meaningful way. I also specialise in anxiety-related difficulties, including chronic worry, overthinking, emotional overwhelm, and stress responses connected to change or instability. Using a trauma-informed perspective, I support clients who have experienced stressful or destabilising life events, helping them process their experiences at a pace that feels safe and manageable. In addition, I work with relationship challenges and recurring interpersonal patterns. Drawing on a psychoanalytic framework, I help clients explore attachment dynamics, communication difficulties, and unconscious relational themes that may be shaping their current experiences. My approach is thoughtful, in-depth, and oriented toward long-term emotional growth and self-understanding.
